A, B, C with The Stamping Chef

It's Time for a new challenge over at The Stamping Chef Blog
Our theme this time is 'A, B, C...Anything But a Card!!'

You can create anything you like, as long as it's not a card, we want to see your gift ideas, bookmarks, wall art and clocks, whatever inspires you, we'd love to see your creations.

I decided to try my hand at Clock making, I took the easy option of course and purchased a kit, an mdf cog shaped clock base with all the mechanism included, just had to decorate it.

  First of all I painted my clock base with white acrylic paint to give me a nice surface to work on.  I then printed the 'Through the Rabbit Hole' image from The Stamping Chef slightly smaller than A4.  I trimmed my image to fit the clock face, so had to cut a couple of elements from the top and bottom of the image for it to fit nicely.  I then coloured the image with my Graph'It Markers.

Using PVA Glue I stuck my image to the clock face before adding some black distress paint to the edges.  I used a piece of punchinella to create a nice effect  on part of the background.  Once it was dry I added the clock mechanism.

I love the finished clock, and can't wait to see what it looks like hanging on my Craft room wall.
Hope you'll be inspired to play along with us, check out the rest of the creations from the awesome The Stamping Chef Challenge DT and get full challenge details at The Stamping Chef Blog.

Vic the Vampire @ The Graveyard

Today I'd like to share with you a fun Halloween Project I've been working on.  It features two awesome images from one of my favourite artists Rick St. Dennis.  In the background you'll see the Graveyard Phantoms Rest 2013 image, and in the foreground Vic the Vampire.

I was browsing through my emails and saw that this weeks Splitcoaststampers Tutorial was for a Triangular Diorama Card, which I thought sounded very interesting.  I had to change the measurements a little to make it work with my Vampire who i'd already coloured and fussy cut out.

Vic the Vampire and the Graveyard Scene are both coloured in with Graph'It Markers, I added a little white gel pen to the vampire for highlights, and some Pan Pastels to the Graveyard Scene to give it a spooky misty feel.

Here's a few more pics for you to see the details;

My card measures 6" x 6" and the front panel is 6" x 7", I found it need extra width on the front panel to give a good view of the Graveyard inside.

Hope you like my spooky make for today. Thanks for visiting with me.

Black on Black with Delicious Doodles

Today I'd like to share with you my card for the current challenge at the Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog.   Our theme this week is 'Black on Black', definitely not a colour combination that we all tend to reach for, but it looks so dramatic, it's definitely worth a shot.  I'm really pleased with how my card turned out.

I used the beautiful 'Love's Faded Memory' image from Delicious Doodles and coloured it with my Graph'It Markers.  I also used the gorgeous Gothic Rose & Thistle Paper in Black.  To add some texture to my card I used some Black Laser Mesh(Punchinella), Glitter Flourish Stickers and Rose Brads.

My favourite Candy!!

It's time for a new challenge over at the Graph'It Markers Challenge blog, and this one is super sweet and sugary!!  Our theme is Candy Colours, so we'd like to see your images coloured with the colours of your favourite candy or sweets!

My main problem with this challenge, was deciding which candy to take inspiration from; First I thought of Aniseed Balls or Aniseed Twists, then Caramac, or maybe Blackberry and Liquorice, BlackJack's, Fruit Salad's; as you can tell I love sweets tehe!!  In the end I went for what I fancied eating whilst making my card, and that was Marshmallows, lovely fluffy pink and white marshmallows all squishy and yummy, and if i was going to be really decadent, some chocolate to dip them in.  Sounds good eh!

Here's my Marshmallow inspired creation;

I've used the following Graph'It Markers; Skin 4120, 4135, 4150, 4155;  Hair 3160, 3210, 3270; Socks and Sleeves 1210, 3210, 0000; Dress 5110, 5115, 5120.

The Image, papers and flowers all come from the new 'Bonbon Belles' CD by Polkadoodles.  If you've not seen this CD then you really do need to check it out, it's full of gorgeous papers and embellishments to co ordinate with some truly gorgeous images.  It's a double CD and it's jam packed full of goodies.
Looks great doesn't it, and I have a Brand New Sealed Copy here to give to one lucky reader!  Yes it really is Candy Time!!

Want to win My Candy, All you have to do is comment on this post telling me your favourite sweets/candy.  I'll pick the lucky winner in two weeks time, when I'm back with a new Graph'It Markers Challenge.

July Freebies from Rick St. Dennis

It's the first Saturday of the Month, so it's time for some awesome freebies from Rick St. Dennis.  You'll find an image on the Sparkle and Glitter EDT Blog and Airless Chambers Blog, both of which are wicked, and you'll find details of a fun contest to play along with too.

Time for me to share my projects with you, lets take a walk to the dark side for my first card;
This awesome wee dragon is called 'Grumpy Dragon' and he's the freebie on the Airless Chambers Blog.  I think he's more cute than scary, especially when you colour him in Pink and Orange tehe!!  I had great fun colouring him with my Graph'It Markers; I used the mix it palette and blender pen to dilute my colours, creating this cool watercolour effect.

My second card is definitely a cutie;
This adorable wee character is 'Summer Fairy' and she's the freebie on the Sparkle and Glitter Blog.  Doesn't she just scream Summer at you, she certainly does to me.  She's coloured with Graph'It Markers and teamed up with some Kaisercraft Pattern Papers and Diecuts from the Fine and Sunny Paper Pad.  To add a little bling, I added some Flower Stick Pins behind my sentiment.

It's now time for you to hop over to the blogs, grab your freebies and check out the beautiful creations from the rest of the EDT.  You'll be amazed at how differently we coloured these two images.  Can't wait to see what you create with them.

Have a wonderful weekend
