Good Day All, It's my pleasure to be Guest Designer for Sandra Caldwell for February.
February is one of my favourite months, I do love Valentines Day, and making projects featuring love and hearts. Although every day should be like Valentines Day, expressing our love for family and friends as well as our partners.
Today Sandra is releasing a wonderful selection of images, all lots of fun. You can grab them all, and lots more in Sandra's Etsy Store.
For my project I chose Image #3801 Sweet Hearts.
I had great fun colouring this cutie with my Copic Sketch Markers. I coloured my image to match the patterned paper; which was hiding in my stash. I'm trying to use papers from my craft stash instead of buying more. I purchased these papers a few years ago from a local Pound shop, so they were definitely a bargain.
I used a 'Love' die from MFT, which I cut from white card and then coloured to coordinate with my image and paper. The stamped sentiment is from Woodware Stamps.
I added my image to the card with some foam tape to give a nice bit of dimension. The finishing touch was a few green buttons also from my stash.
Picking your colour scheme from your patterned paper really makes the process of creating a card very easy, takes away a bit of the fear when it comes to choosing colours.
