Mixed Media Card with ColourCraft Ltd

Good Day All, Today I'd like to share with you a Mixed Media Card I've created using lots of wonderful products from the ColourCraft Store, including Brusho PowdersDesignIt PasteSprinkleIt and Pearl Lustre Pigment Powders and Binder.

Here's the card I created;
It's perfect for Valentine's Day or an Anniversary.  So here's how I made my card.

First of all I created my background paper, As my base I've used a mixed media paper which is capable of handling lots of products, to this I added strips of Kitchen Towel I had used when spraying a previous project with Brusho Acrylic Sprays.  I then added a layer of Clear Gesso;

Next I added some Black Brusho Powder;
I dried my page with a Heat Gun between each layer of powder. To be honest I should have probably let it dry naturally as I think I may have burnt it a little with my impatience.

Next I decided to add some Washi Tape;
Next I added some Scarlet DesignIt Paste through a Heart Stencil.  I then decided to add some Buff Titanium Eco Acrylic Paint;
I added the paint to the page with a palette knife, and scratched some heart shapes into it for extra texture.

I then cut my page down to fit a 5 x 7 inch card blank.  I've got one background for this card, and one piece left over for another project.
I then decided to add some Pearl DesignIt Paste through a stencil to add a bit more contrast to my project.
Once the Pearl DesignIt Paste was dried I added some doodling to the background and some random marks for extra contrast.  As the Pearl DesignIt Paste dried it soaked up some of the colour from the Brilliant Red Brusho Powder in the background, It added a lovely pink hint to it, giving the impression of Ice cream with a Strawberry squirl.  I added a strip of red sequin waste to the centre of the panel before adhering it to my card blank.
Then it was time for me to create my focal point.  I decided on a Cute Elephant stamp by Woodware, stamped with permanent ink, and coloured with Pearl Lustre Pigment Powders mixed with Clear Binder, this comes in a set, and is a great way to experiment.
I used Pearl, Black Pearl and Brilliant Red Pearl Lustre Pigment Powders to create the paints to colour my image;
As you can see you get the most amazingly shiny pearl paint.  The colours mix together so well, so you can get different shades of colour.  Which allowed for shading on the Elephant.

I then added some doodling to the elephant with paint pens;
I then added the elephant to the card.
Here's the finished card;
 And a close up of the super cute Elephants.

I had great fun with this card, and love how easy the Pearl Lustre Powders are to paint with when mixed with the Clear Binder.  I hope you've enjoyed seeing how the card was created.
That's all from me for today
Bye for now
