Today I'd like to share with you a page from my Art Journal that I've created for the latest challenge over at the Oddball Art Stamps Challenge Blog.
We've changed the rules so now you don't have to play along with the challenge theme, but if you do and win you get an extra prize.
Our theme this month is 'Clocks', and you can interpret this however you wish, but we'd love you to share with us you an explanation of your interpretation, if it's not obvious.
Here is my Art Journal Page;
For my Art Journal page I used Lazy Louise image#121B and The MadHatter image#328 from the Oddball Art Stamps Etsy Store.
Above you can see how my page progressed.
I started with a page that I'd previously covered with a layer of Metallic Gold Gelato mixed with water.
Using a Woodgrain effect clear stamp from Bo Bunny, I stamped my floor with Ranger's Archival Ink in Potting Soil.
Then using the same Ink I used stamps from Kaisercraft and Graphic 45 to stamp the background elements of my wallpaper.
I then added Floral Vintage Clocks which i'd printed from GraphicsFairy.com. To apply these I used Liquitex Fluid Matte Medium, which I applied to the whole of my page to help seal the Gelatos.
I then added my Fussy Cut images with more Fluid Matte Medium, adding another layer to the rest of the page at the same time.
I then coloured my images with Derwent Inktense Pencils and water, leaving to dry between a couple of coats of colour.
To add more depth to some areas of the images I used Faber Castell PITT Pens.
To finish my page I added some shadows with a Pastel Pencil, and highlights with a white paint pen.
