Today I'd like to share with you a couple of pages from my Art Journal that I've created for the latest challenge over at the Oddball Art Stamps Challenge Blog.
We've changed the rules so now you don't have to play along with the challenge theme, but if you do and win you get an extra prize.
Our theme this month is 'Clocks', and you can interpret this however you wish, but we'd love you to share with us you an explanation of your interpretation, if it's not obvious.
Here is my Art Journal Pages;
For these pages I used on of the recently released images from the Oddball Art Stamps Etsy Store, This beautiful creature is called 'Say What You Want Gabby' image#398. Isn't she beautiful and so verstatile, Her speech bubble come blank so you can add whatever text you wish, so she really is perfect for any occasion. I coloured her with ProMarkers before fussy cutting her out.
I've used my new A6 Sketchbook/Journal for this project, so a double page spread is A5 in size and such a nice size to work on, perfect for quick fun pages and trying new techniques.
For my Background I took some Circles from a PaperMania Paper Shapes Set (been in my craft stash for years) and Clock Face Stamps from Crafty Individuals. Once I'd stamped the images with Archival Ink I added them to my page.
Next I added my image and left to dry overnight.
I added a hand written sentiment to her speech bubble once she was dry, and outlined my page with a doodle frame.
To finish the pages off I added some shadows with a dark grey pastel pencils around my image and all the clocks, as well as around the edge of the pages.
