Growing in Unity - Day 5 Wild and Free

Welcome to Day 5 of my GIU Week, I can't believe today is my final day, It's been a wonderful week, and I've loved sharing my creations with you all.

Here's today's project featuring the 'Wild and Free' set by Donna Downey;
I've created a two page spread in my large Art Journal.

I started my pages by collaging some old book pages onto them along with some white gesso.

I then stamped the gorgeous Poppy stamps all over the left page, and the top half of the right page.

Then using Derwent Inktense Blocks, I add green washes to the background, and various shades of red to the poppies.
 Next I added layers of Acrylic paint to my background and the poppies.

I did a very rough pencil drawing of the face where I wanted it, then painted over it with white gesso, before adding some washes of Acrylic Paint.  Next I worked into the face, and the poppies with Derwent Inktense Pencils, before adding some details with Faber Castell PITT Pens.

 I then stamped the 'Never, never, never give up sentiment' from the Never set of stamps by Jolande and Marleen.  Before adding more details to the face with Prismacolour Coloured Pencils.

To finish my pages off I added some details with Black Fineliner, and White Uni Posca pen.

Here's an extreme close up;

I hope you like today's project, not quite a bright and cheerful as some of my projects, but it was great fun to work with some wonderful stamps, and to do one of my favourite types of drawing, faces.

Thank you so much for visiting this week, It's been a real honour to share my Unity projects with you all.  Please make sure you leave a comment on each of my posts this week to be in with a chance of winning some wonderful Unity stamps.

Once again thank you for all the wonderful comments, I appreciate every single one of them, and they have really give me a boost.

Bye for now
Love and Hugs
