Welcome to Day 3 of my GIU Week, I hope you are having as much fun as I am, I've loved reading all your comments so far, such wonderful words of appreciation and encouragement, Thank you to you all.
For today' project I've created an Altered Index Card;
As soon as I saw this stamp set I knew I had to get it, as I love Elephants (I've been collecting them for a few years now). This set is called Huge Possibilities by Angie Blom.
To create this project I took an Index card which i'd already added a collaged background and some white gesso to (made a few at the same time, including the the index card I used for my project on Day 1 of this week).
I stamped the Elephant directly onto my collaged background; I used my Stamping Platform as I knew it was likely to need to few attempts as the background has some texture. I used Black Archival Ink to stamp the Elephant, it did take a couple of attempts, but the great thing about the Stamping Platform is you can focus on the areas that didn't stamp well on the first attempt, adding more ink and pressure to those particular sections, and you end up with a lovely clear impression.
I used Derwent Inktense Pencils to colour my image, as well as some of my background.
To embellish my card I added some purple and green polka dot tape, and stamped the sentiment with Black Archival Ink.
To finish the card I added some Black Faber Castell PITT Pen around my image, the tape and the edges of the card. I used a White Gel Pen to add some highlights to the Elephant.
I had great fun working with this image, the Elephant was such fun to colour, and you have so many options with all that wonderful pattern on him, I look forward to colouring him in some different colour palettes.
Thank you for visiting with me today, Don't forget to leave a comment in be in with the chance of winning some awesome Unity stamps. I'll be back tomorrow with another project to share with you.
Have a wonderful day
Happy Crafting
Bye for now
