Oddball Art Stamps Blog Challenge - Mother Love Reminder Post

Today I'd like to share with you an Art Card/ Post Card/Index Card I've created for the current challenge over at the Oddball Art Stamps Challenge Blog.

We've changed the rules a little this month, and you don't have to play along with the challenge theme, but if you do and win you get an extra prize.

Our theme this month is 'Mother Love', and you can interpret this however you wish, but we'd love you to share with us you an explanation of your interpretation, if it's not obvious.

Here is my project;
It's a 6 x 4inch Art Card featuring 'Bedtime Hudson image#365'.  It's a Mixed Media piece, so I took step by step photos to show you how I created this project.

Step by Step
Step 1; Watercolour Paper with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Background. (Created whilst playing with Distress Oxides recently)

Step 2; Faber Castell Gelatos added to create grounding for image.

Step 3; Image printed then fussy cut, adhered to background with Matt Medium. Whole card then given coat of Matt Medium to seal it before the next stage.

Step 4; Add Modelling Paste through stencil, and leave to dry.

Step 5; Add more Purple Faber Castell Gelato.

Step 6; Add more Distress Oxides and water.

Step 7; Colour image with Faber Castell PITT Pens, add White Sharpie and PITT Pens to background to add some more interest.

Step 8; Add more Faber Castell PITT Pen to image and background, outline image to add depth.  Add doodle border and text with White Sharpie.

That is where I should have left my project, as it looked great and was pretty much finished, but no I went one step too far;  I sprayed my card with Turquoise Ink, then tried to wipe the excess off;
This is what I got left with!  To say I was upset and annoyed with myself when this happened is a little understatement, i'm still pretty mad about it, lol!  But I wanted to share this image with you, just to let you all know that we all make mistakes, no matter how long we've been creating.

Luckily my card is not completely ruined, and i'd taken pictures as I was going along, so I have something to share with you today.  I may try and rescue this project, I'm not sure yet.  I need to wait until I'm happier with it as it is, and then see what i want to do with it.
