More Mixed Media Challenge - Yellow

It's time for a new challenge over at More Mixed Media Challenge Blog, as always it's a colour challenge, so this month you can create whatever you like as long as there is Yellow somewhere on your creation.

I've created a 5 x 7 inch Mixed Media Canvas for this months challenge;
The main focus of my canvas is the beautiful 'Reflection' by Saturated Canary.  I coloured this beautiful fairy with Letraset Tria and Promarkers before fussy cutting her out.

To create my background I used Yellow and Purple Acrylic Paint to cover the whole canvas board. Once dry I added some Buttercream and Lilac Gelatos.  I then used a stencil to add some pattern to my background.  I used Gold Pearlidoodles to stencil my sentiment along with another layer of pattern to my background.

Once my background had dried completely I added a layer of Liquitex Gloss Super Heavy Gel to the whole canvas, this works wonderfully as a sealant for my layered background, as well as an adhesive for my image.  I added the gel to the back of my image, before adding it to the canvas and covering with a thin layer of the gel.  Before the gel dried I added lashing of Decoart Glitter Dust and some Frantage Shaved Ice Flakes.

I had great fun creating this piece, and hope you love her as much as I do.  If you want to own this little beauty you'll find her in my Etsy Store.  I hope to add more products to my store over the coming months.

Thank you for visiting with me today and don't forget to hop over to the More Mixed Media Challenge Blog to see the stunning creations from the rest of the Design Team and to link up your projects.

Bye for now
