It's time for a new challenge over at the Left of Center Challenge blog, so time to embrace our dark side and create something wickedly creep and offbeat.
This week's challenge is sponsored by the incredible Rick St. Dennis
Our Challenge them is 'Torn Edges'
Here's my project;
For my project I used the wonderful Countesse von Finnbair image by Rick St. Dennis. I had great fun with this project, I printed my image out twice, coloured one with a red colour palette and the other with a green colour palette. I then tore each image into 3 pieces. I then layered together two green pieces with the centre red piece. Hopefully this gives the impression of the centre section of the face having been skinned! Here's a close up
Look at those wonderfully creepy eyes!
I wanted to keep the image as the main focal point of my card, so I kept the rest very simple. I took a sheet of brick patterned paper, marked on the back the size of my image, cut a very rough rectangle from the centre of the paper, then tore around this area to create a rough aperture in the brick paper. I then simply layerd my image and the patterned paper onto an 8 x 8inch card blank.
I resisted the temptation to add any further embellishment, and I love the finished card. Hope you do too. Want to see more inspiration for our challenge, then please head over to the Left of Center Challenge Blog to see the awesome creations from the rest of our Design Team.
That's all from me for now, Thank you so much for visiting with me
Bye for now
