Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge #174 Splatters or Sprays

It's time for another Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge, this week we are sponsored by the truly awesome

If you've not discovered Vera Lane Studio yet, then you are in for a real treat today.  The store is full of wonderful whimsical images for all your crafting needs.  You'll be spoilt for choice.

Our theme this week is;

Here's my ATC;
For my ATC I used Le Petit Ariste, isn't she wonderful!

I had great fun creating my background for this ATC, I used a mixture of sprays along with some Stampendous Frantage.  I achieved a gorgeous shimmer on my background using a Studio Calico Mr Huey Spray in 'Shimmer' which adds a wonderful shimmer to anything.

I used elements from the White and Teal Encrusted Jewel Frantage Kits, and boy was that fun.  If you've not tried Frantage yet, they you really are missing out on some gorgeous effects.

I highly recommend getting the White Encrusted Jewel Kit as your first set, as it will work for so many different themes, I love the Chunky White Embossing Enamel and Shaved Ice Fragments that come as part of the set.
I've two tips for you when using Frantage;

1; If your just sprinkling the elements onto your project, make sure you keep it flat, and hold you project with some sort of tweezers so you don't burn your fingers. (Attach the tweezers to your project before you add your Frantage if you can, then you've less chance of spillage!)
2; Make sure you heat from underneath your project.  You'll need to use at least one embossing powder/enamel to hold the other elements/fragments in place.  You don't need glue, the process of melting the embossing powder will adhere the other elements.

That's all from me for now. If you've not checked out this weeks challenge post over at the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog yet, then you really must, the rest of the DT have created some truly magical projects this week, you really don't want to miss out.

Thank you for visiting with me today
Bye for now
