Here's my card featuring this gorgeous mermaid;
I made and 8 x 8 card and used patterned papers from DCWV Stack 5. I love these papers such bright fun colours with a funky retro design, and an abstract floral pattern in places. They made me think of a lovely hot day on some tropical beach somewhere, so I figured they would go perfectly with this beautiful mermaid.
My image is coloured with Letraset Promarkers. I decided to try a different combination for her skintone, so used Peach, Soft Peach, Blush, Baby Pink and Ivory pens. I love how this combination turned out. I took inspiration from my patterned papers for the colouring the rest of the mermaid. Giving her a blue and green tail and fins contrasted with bright pink/magenta hair.
I didn't add any embellishments to this card, as I felt the patterned papers were more than decorative enough. So it's a very simple layout, with layers of white card stock to frame the papers.
