SLSLine Digital Stamps Inspiration Post

Hello All, Today it is my turn to share a little inspiration piece using one of the gorgeous images available in the SLSLines Digital Stamp Store

My project today features one of Sal's gorgeous Day of the Dead Calavera Girls Digital Stamps.

I coloured the image using Letraset Tria and Promarkers, which are my favourite colouring medium at the moment.  I love using Neutral Greys for colouring Black hair, although on this image I did add quite a lot of Black to the hair.  I coloured the image to match the patterned papers which i found in my stash (magazine freebie) then i fussy cut the image.

I used a lovely Bright Pink Glossy Card Blank for this project, with the card blank being so nice, I didn't want to cover it all with patterned papers, so used the card as part of my design rather than just a base for my design.

As the patterned paper featured hand drawn elements I decided to rip the edges rather than cut with my guillotine, as I wanted to continue the free style of the pattern.  I used some Coordinations card stock in yellow to contrast the pattern and give a nice background for my image.

I kept the embellishment fairly minimal, using a few coloured staples to attach my image, and a few black gems for a little bling.  I used Tim Holtz Label Letters to create my sentiment.

I wanted to create a bright and funky card, and I think I managed to achieve that, I hope you like it too.

Here's a close up of the beautiful image;

That's all from me for today, Thank you for visiting with me today, and don't forget to visit the SLSLines Digital Stamp Challenge Blog to join in our ongoing challenge, and to see more inspiration from our very talented Design Team.

Bye for now
