Sweet Pea Stamps Artist of the Week - Elaine Cox

Today it is my pleasure to share with you my creation using this week's featured Artist of the Week.

This week we have been showcasing the beautiful work of Elaine Cox.

Here is the card i've created using the beautiful Dreamy Sand Castle Mermaid;

Doesn't this dreamy mermaid look wonderful in dramatic colours. She is coloured with a mix of Letraset Tria and Promarkers before being partially fussy cut to go onto the tag.  I coloured my image to coordinate with the papers in Bo Bunny's Serenity Paper pad.

I created an A5 card base from some black card stock, before taking two of the beautiful papers from the pad and layering them onto my card.  To continue with the dramatic colour scheme, I used a black doily with I cut into 4 and then applied a piece to two of the corners.

I created a Tag for my image using my Tim Holtz Tag Framelit Dies, and the patterned paper that resembled the sea.  I then added my image, along with a K&Co Word Strip to some black card, before punching a hole and adding some red satin ribbon.  My tag was then mounted on the card with some foam pads for dimension.

Here's a close up of this beautiful mermaid;
