Can you Alter It with That Craft Place

It's time for a new challenge over at the 'That Craft Place Challenge Blog' and this time the theme is;

I went for the Alter It option, and decided to Alter a Picture Frame, here's what i came up with;
I used the awesome 'The Pilot' image by Lisa Cree for this project, you can find this image and lots more wonderful digital stamps and sentiments in the DitzieDigiDesign shop on Etsy.

For my background I used Broken China and Stormy Sky Distress Inks to give the impression of a cloudy sky, I create a rough mask for my clouds using some scrap paper and a pair of scissors.  I then used Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink with a Chicken Wire and an Eye Chart Mask/Stencil to add some contrast to my background, and give it a little more of a steampunk/industrial feel.

My image was coloured with Letraset Tria and Promarkers, before being fussy cut and glued to my frame. I heat set the ink on my frame before adding my image, and then added a coat of Aleene's Glossy Collage Pauge to seal my project, you could use Mod Podge for this step too.  I just went with the first sealant that came to hand.

That's all from me for today, Don't forget to hop over to the 'That Craft Place Challenge Blog' to check out the rest of the Design Teams awesome creations.

Thank you for visiting with me today
Bye for now
