Love is in the air with Visible Image

T'is the first of February and Time for some Love, February is after all the month of love, everyone loves Valentines Day! or maybe not, personally I love any excuse to celebrate love in all of it's forms.

Today mark the start of a new monthly challenge over at Visible Image, we want to feel the love, and all you have to do to join in is create a project featuring at least one Visible Image Stamp.

Visible Image has lots of stamps that just shout 'Love' at you, in fact they have a whole section in the store dedicated to Valentine's Day as well as one for Weddings and Romance.  However, I wanted to be a little different and show you how versatile the accessory stamps that come in some of the character sets really are.  For my card I used, the arrow stamp from the Tala catching dreams set, the woodgrain stamp from the Clayton legend set and the Be Brave sentiment from the Silverheels brave set of stamps.

Here's my card;
I used Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to stamp the wood grain stamp onto some Kraft card stock.  I continued stamping until I'd created the look of a wooden panel, I then left this to dry before cutting it out.  I took another piece of Kraft card stock and scored it in half to create an A5 card, onto which i stamped the Be Brave sentiment with the same distress ink.  On a scrap of Kraft card I stamped the arrow, coloured it with a red Graph'It marker before fussy cutting it.

I added my faux wooden panel to the card front using some foam pads to give dimension.  I then took a large red satin heart embellishment and cut a little slit in the front of it, into which I put the arrow.  I then adhered the hear to the wooden panel with more foam pads.

I hope you like my creation, and it inspires you to take a look at your stamp collection and think of new ways of using some of your accessory stamps.
