It's Friday so time for a fun new challenge over at the Graph'It Markers Colouring Challenge blog, as always it's an Anything Goes theme for challenge players, but the Design Team were challenged to created projects with a Springtime feel featuring shades of Yellow and Blue.
For my card I chose to use one of the awesome new characters from Polkadoodles, This is Dollie Daydream and you'll find her with a few friends and lots of wonderful accessories and papers etc on the Dollie Daydream Girl Talk CD. This CD is the first in a series of six, and based on what i've seen on this one CD you are definitely going to want to get the whole collection.
Here's my card,
I coloured my image with the following Graph'It Markers;
Skin: 4120, 4125, 4150, 5110, 5115
Eyes: 7140, 7145, 7160
Hair: 1210, 1230, 1270, 1280, 3245
Boots & Top: 1140, 1150, 1180
Skirt & Leggings: 1180, 7160, 7180
I decided to make my card look a little extra special, so I went with a slightly different fold to what I would normally use. I love making Easel Cards, but have only ever made one Twisted Easel Card before, so thought it was time to use this fun and amazingly easy fold again.
I took a 12x12 sheet of Yellow Cardstock, and cut it in half at 6". I then took one of the halfs and cut that in half at 6" to give me two 6" squares. Take the 6"x12" piece of card and score at 6", then score a diagonal line from one of the end corners to the opposite corner on your 6" score line. Fold along both score lines and you've got your base for your Twisted Easel Card. You can now decorate the base and the 6"x 6" square of cardstock which will form your Easel Top. Once your happy with your basic decoration adhere the 6"x 6" piece to the base, so that your Easel card stands up. If you choose to add your image to the 6"x 6" before adding it to the base, make sure you add it with the image facing in the correct direction, so that when you stand the Easel up your image is not facing sideways.
My patterned paper on this card is from My Mind's Eye's Indie Chic 'Nutmeg' paper pack. To embellish my card I added a couple of round paper doilies, some satin ribbon, along with a scattering of buttons, dewdrops and flowers. My sentiment is a couple of Cosmo Cricket's Tiny Text Stickers.
I hope i've inspired you to play along with our challenge, remember you can use any alcohol markers to colour you image, so grab those pens and play along, over at the Graph'It Markers Challenge Blog; you'll want to pop over there to see the beautiful creations from the rest of the Design Team and to get full details on how to join in our challenge.
Thank You for visiting with me today
