Summer Sunshine with Graph'It Markers

It's the end of another week, so time for a brand new challenge over at the Graph'It Markers Blog.  I'm having such fun working with the Graph'It Markers; you'd think all Alcohol Markers would be the same, but they are not.  The Graph'It Markers are very quickly becoming a firm favourite with me; I love how vibrant the colours are, how well they blend, and the quality of the nibs is outstanding.  I love the Mix'It Fluid and palette too; definitely need to play with them more, but i'm loving the effects i've achieved so far.

Onto this week's challenge theme, which is 'Summer Sunshine' - we want to see you embracing bright sunshiny shades of Yellow and Orange.

For my card this week I chose the beautiful 'Starla' by Saturated Canary to be the star of my project;

I decided to try a different skin tone this week, to go with the bright orange hair and yellow and orange outfit.
I love how it turned out, here's the colours I used;
Skin; 2160, 3210, 3255, 3270
Hair; 0000, 2150, 2160, 2170, 2180, 3210, 4175
Outfit; 1150, 1170, 1180, 2150, 2160, 2170, 2180
Background; 0000, 3210, 8220, 8260, 8280

I used papers from Bo Bunny's Hello Sunshine paper pad.  I added some white punchinella (laser mesh) behind my image for some added texture.  I die cut a Sizzix Instant Frame with my Framelits and some MFT Stars.  My sentiment is created with October Afternoon Alphabet Stickers.  You might have noticed I have a weakness for Alphabet Stickers, such a quick and easy way of adding exactly the right sentiment for you projects.

Now I suggest you hop over to the Graph'It Markers Blog, to get full details of our challenge, and to check out the awesome creations from the rest of the design team.

Thanks for visiting with me today
Bye for now
