The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog is Celebrating their 100th Challenge, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for me to play along. The Challenge theme is 'Celebrations' so I decided to make an Anniversary Card featuring the beautiful Love in Venice Image. I coloured the image with Letraset Tria and Promarkers, before cutting the image into a heart shape. I decided on a mainly monochrome colour scheme for this card with the addition of some red and pink. The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye Love Me Collection. I added some black gloss card stock to give some contrast to all the pink and add a bit of drama. I kept the embellishments very simple, adding some heart border strips along with a little 'i.love.u' flag. I added some doodled frames to my image and paper and finished it all off with the 'Happy Anniversary' sentiment.
I had so much fun colouring this image, and love how the finished card looks. I was tempted to add some bling, but I kind of like the clean and simple feel it has without any bling.
The Paper Shelter Challenge runs for a few more days, and you'll want to play along if you've got some crafty time this weekend, as they have 5 prizes up for grabs, and you can use any image you like, as long as it's a celebration card you make.
Thank you for visiting with me today
Have a wonderful weekend all
Bye for now
