It's time for a new challenge at Sparkle and Glitter with Rick St. Dennis
Last Minute Shopping - Yes we all end up having some to do, or those last minute gifts that need to be made once the shops are closed and you realise you've forgotten to get something for one of your Christmas guests!!
We have yet another wonderful and generous sponsor this challenge.
Stitchy Bear have kindly donated a $10 Gift Certificate to be awarded to one lucky winner. There are so many images to choose from drawn by a variety of very talented artists, there's going to be loads you'll want to choose.
We, on the EDT, would like to see those last minute makes. Those gift bags and tags that make an ordinary gift something more special. Those last minute cards for friends and family who have decided that they'd rather spend time with you this holiday period. Even those last minute cookies you've baked and packaged, all festively, for a neighbour. Whatever your Last Minute Preparations are, care to show us? We'd love to see and get inspiration from you.
I hate to go out shopping at this time of year, and all the online stores have stopped shipping for Christmas now, so any last minute gifts I want to give, I have to make first, which is exactly what I did for today's challenge.
What better gift than a Calender for the forthcoming year; I used a selection of the beautiful Randi Dandi images from the Rick St. Dennis Etsy store along with the 2013 Calender Printable Stamp Set from The Cutting Cafe.
January featuring Nina Nouveau
February featuring Bernadette
March featuring Vikki
April featuring Betti
May featuring Tasha
June featuring Ree Ree
I'm still working on July - December, so pop back next week, and i'll post Part 2 of my 2013 Calender then. Before I go, I have to share with you a super quick last minute project i made using a beautiful image by Delicious Doodles available at Stitchy Bear Stamps.
I made this super cute Bag-A-Lope following at tutorial at Splitcoaststampers.com, I used the beautiful Christmas Surprise image to decorate the front of my gift bag. I amended the dimensions a little using an A5 envelope, cutting the top off it, and then scoring 1 inch borders instead of 2 inch borders, then I simply followed the rest of the tutorial.
That's all from me for today, I hope all your festive plans are coming together nicely, and I want to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas.
Bye for now
