Day 1 of The 13 Days of Creepmas

So are you in the Creepmas Spirit??? Well if your not, you soon will be, as we spend the next 13 days showcasing some awesome Creepmas images and projects.

Your probably wondering what is this Creepmas I'm talking about, it's very simple.  As Christmas seems to enter the year earlier and earlier each year it pushes aside Halloween and all the other wonderful Autumn/Fall Celebrations.  So Creepmas is a way of prolonging Halloween and poking a little fun at the commercialised Christmas Season.  Basically the Holiday's all got a little mixed up, and Creepmas was born.

So onto my Creepmas Project; I decided to create a 3D Creepmas Scene, It's an ongoing project which will develop as the Creepmas Blog Hop progresses.  Here's my first picture for Day 1;
As you can see I've created a very seasonal backdrop for my project.  I took a cardboard box, and cut it down so that it left a base and two sides.  I added blue card stock and washi tape to the sides to give the impression of a crisp winters skyline.  To the base I added some polystyrene topped with felt and cotton wool for snow.

I used three image by Rick St. Dennis for my backdrop, Holiday Cottage Scene Digi stamp, 2012 Outhouse NOEL and Mrs Frosty.

Looking pretty good so far, but not very creepy!! Time to add my first creepy character;
Here's Sad Frosty, looking more than a little Sad, in fact he's a bloody mess!! Now my scene looks a little creepier;
That's it for Day 1, I wonder what sort of Creepy Character will be joining our little scene for Day 2?  I guess you'll have to come back tomorrow to find out!!

Here's the full blog hop list, just in case you've missed any stops;

Suzi - You are Here!!

You'll also find this full blog hop list in my sidebar on the left of my blog, along with the blog hop list for the Creepmas.com Hop, and the Smeared and Smudged 13 Days of Creepmas Hop (I'll have another post for this Hop later today)

Bye for now

Bloody snowman with an ax in his head! Awesome work, Suzi! BTW, I messed up the original hop code and Donna and Nat's links don't work. Please get the updated version from the yahoo group. Sorry for the inconvenience.

So funny to see Creepmas--I had never heard of it until I stumbled on a Rick St. Dennis image. Now I love the work he does, though the Creepmas images are just not quite my thing. LOL! But you are doing a fabulous job on this diorama! Love the coloring!
(These images are a far cry from Jellypark, aren't they?)
Hugs, Penny
Hi Suzi, you have me chomping at the bit now to see what else is going to join this awesome scene. Love the way you built up to it. Fabulous!!!
