It's time for our Inspiration Post at The Cutting Cafe and this week it's all about Snowflakes; I used the Fun with Snowflakes Cutting Files to create the very pretty snowflake backgrounds on my card.
I cut both the snowflake backgrounds out of glossy white card using my Sizzix Eclips. I then stuck the framed snowflakes onto a piece of silver mirri card with a sheet of double sided adhesive film. This left all the gaps between the snowflakes sticky, and ready for me to sprinkle on some pretty pink glitter. I rubbed the glitter well into all the sticky gaps, and then just brushed off the excess. To finish this panel, I added a few gems to the centre of the snowflakes. I then trimmed the other snowflake background to give the two rows of snowflakes behind my image, these are just stuck down with pva glue, and then a few more gems added.
My beautiful image is called Arwen and is available from CDee Designs. You'll find lots of beautiful images in the CDee Designs Etsy Store; all of them are hand drawn by the very talented Chrissie Taft. Make sure you have a good browse in the store, as you'll find lots of fun images for all your crafting projects.
Don't forget to check out the Inspiration Post at The Cutting Cafe, as you'll find lots more beautiful snowflakes projects by the wonderful DT, and a great deal on this weeks files.
