It's the start of a new month, and therefore a new challenge over at Desert Island Crafters Challenge blog. I can hardly believe it's November already, hopefully you all had a wonderful Halloween, and have managed to stay safe and avoid Sandy; I hope all those affected manage to get back to some sort of normality soon, although it looks like it's gonna be a long journey for those directly affected by Sandy.

Here's my card based on Sharon's Itinerary;

For my card I used the 'Snow Globe' image by Floppy Latte. As soon as I saw this image I knew it would be perfect for this challenge, the image has such a lovely traditional vintage feel to it.  I coloured the image with Letraset Promarkers with the addition of 'Snow' courtesy of a Marvy Snow Writer pen.  

I found the patterned papers in my stash and thought they worked very nicely as wallpaper and a table top for my snow globe.  To embellish my card i added some brown organza ribbon, to which I attached a snowflake charm.  To finish my card I added a ticket sentiment from my stash, I coloured it with my promarkers to coordinate it with the rest of the card.

Definitely not my usual colour scheme, but it's fun to try something a little different and brown is definitely different for me.  I hope you'll have chance to hop over the Desert Island Crafters Challenge Blog to check out the beautiful creations from the rest of the Design Team.  We'd love to see your creations too, so have fun and play along if you can.
