The day has arrived - the first EVER Sparkle and Glitter with Rick St Dennis Challenge, brought to you by the EDT of Rick St Dennis MFA! A group of people gathered together as a team by the artist himself. I have to say I'm very honoured to have been chosen for Rick's Elite Design Team, not only do I get to work with some truly inspiring images, but some wonderful artists too.
We were blown over by you all visiting us last weekend and snagging those 2 fabulous images that Rick offered free for the 2 days. Thank you so much for you lovely comments and support, now onto business..
What’s the challenge for the next two weeks? A big favourite of many ...
There will be one winner chosen at random for one of the prizes. In addition to this, there will be a top 3 chosen by the EDT and the awards don’t stop there. There will be Rick St Dennis, himself, choosing one lucky person to be awarded the coveted badge “Rick’s Pick” and associated prize.
For our first ever challenge, we are also honoured by having the sponsorship of the lovely Teri of
Teri has generously offered to donate the choice of 4 images from her shop to the prize winner.
My First Card features the Showgirl image by Rick St Dennis MFA.
Both images are coloured with Letraset Alcohol Markers. I chose the bright zesty colour scheme as i wanted my cards to be bright cheerful and flamboyant; I think they work. I added lots of glitter and bling to the beautiful Showgirl, along with some feathers to capture the essence of her wonderful outfit. The glitter and bling on Rosalee is a little more subtle, I used Sakura Stardust pens on the roses to make them sparkle.
Want some more inspiration, then you need to visit the Challenge Blog to see the truly beautiful creations by the rest of Rick's EDT, the challenge runs until the 18th October, so you've plenty of time to join in and get all Glittery and Sparkly.
Thank you for visiting with me today
