Hello Pixie fans, It's Thursday so time for a new Pixie Dust Challenge, and the theme this week is..
Boy themed, add buttons or brads
Your challenge is to create a Boy themed card/project, and add either buttons or brads. Nice and easy and lots of fun :)
Here's my card..
I chose the adorable Jingles the Jester from the 'Have a Ball' Collection of images at the Pixie Dust Studio, Isn't he fun! My background is from a digital kit called 'Box Society: Alternatives 2' by Studio Gypsy, which i purchased from Scrapbookgraphics.com, unfortunately it looks like it's no longer available.
My card was fairly simple to make, as my background does a lot of the work for me, I printed the background in two sizes, then trimmed one to fit my card blank, and trimmed the other to create the panel that Jingles is standing on. Before adding my panel to my card I attached some little flags i created for my sentiment, adding the sentiment stickers from the Tiny Type Alphabet Sticker Sheet by Cosmo Cricket. I then coloured Jingles, using a mixture of Letraset Promarkers for the base colouring, to which i added some shading with a Tuscan Red Verithin Prismacolor Pencil. I added Jingles to my card with some thin foam pads to give him a little dimension. The finishing touch for my card was the 3 red crystal brads, which i added to the bottom of the card.
This was such a fun card to work on, it's impossible not to smile whilst colouring this cute image in.
Hope you'll have time to play along with the Pixies this week, don't forget to hop over to the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Blog to see the creations from the rest of the Pixies, and to upload your project.
Have a Pixielicious Day
