A Magical Monday Mother's Day Card

Today I'd like to share with your the card I made for my Mum for Mother's Day, which was yesterday here in the UK.  This card is also for Magical Monday Challenge over at There's Magic in the Air, this week's challenge is nice and simple, 'Let's Use Flowers' you can use whatever sort of flowers you want, just have fun with it.  I chose to go with a floral image; my Mum loves Poppies, so the 'Poppies' image from Paper Cupcakes was perfect for this card.

This was a really easy card to make, as I knew I wanted the Poppies image to be the main focal point, so I decided to go with an easel card.  A couple of weeks ago I bought the purple glittered letters specifically for this card, my Mum's favourite colour is purple, so what could be better than purple glittery letters to go with the purple poppies.  I used a purple striped paper for the background on my card, and coloured my image with prismacolour pencils and oms.

I'm pleased to say Mum liked it so much, she said she's going to frame it.  So I think i did OK!!

Thanks for visiting with me today
