Happy 60th Dad

Today I'd like to share with you the card I made for my Dad's 60th Birthday.  Hard to believe he's 60, makes me realise i'm not a kid anymore, altho I still feel like one on the inside; I'm sure he doesn't feel his age; So I decided to make him a pretty funky birthday card.  Dad loves music, so I thought these wonderful images from KennyK would make the perfect card for him.

I kept the card very simple, I used some textured blue cardstock for my card base, to which i added some strips of washi tape.  I then printed out the numbers 6 & 0 from a digital scrapbooking alphabet, cut them out, and added some distressing ink to the edges.  Star and Vicki Lee Vicious are coloured with promarkers, with a little white gel pen, and sakura stardust pen for highlights.

I'm glad to say Dad loved his card, as well as his birthday present - A Peter Green CD :)
Hope your all having a lovely day
Bye for now

Edit:  I just found out this card fits with the current Moxie Fab World Challenge: Get Daring with Decorative Tape.  Not sure how daring my washi tape background is, but I like the effect it created.

Fantastic card Suzi! Glad your Dad liked it. Great use of the two images, the washi tapes adds to the card too even though it's in the background! Hugs, Ang x
