Feeling Shabby???

Have you checked out  The Shabby Tea Room? Well they are a cute little challenge blog that The Stamping Boutique happen to be sponsoring this week!  Our challenge this week was " Classic Elegance"-use this photo for inspiration along with the colors RED, WHITE or CREAM, and BLACK!

As soon as I saw the inspiration picture I knew I wanted to create a scene with multiple images,  I used 4 images-Farm Window, Pantry Shelf, Farm Pantry, and Spring Cleaning Audrey.   I love using multiple images to create scenes on my cards, and digital images are really the best for that, it's so easy to resize them, you can create wonderful scenes and get a sense of perspective just by printing your images in slightly different sizes, and arranging them to give the impression of space.

I'm quite pleased with how my card turned out, but to be honest I would change a couple of bits if I was making it again.  I think the Red Gingham patterned paper is a little too overpowering for the wallpaper, so I'd go for a plainer background.  I would also print the Farm Pantry bigger, and have it more in the foreground of the card.

I can't wait to see how other people interpret the inspiration picture, as it has so many wonderful details that you could pick out and use.  I think I'll be keeping this picture for future reference.  That is one of the things I like to do to try and keep my ideas flowing, any pictures I find online, or see on challenge blogs that inspire me, I save to a folder on my pc, and when I need some inspiration I know where to look.

Thanks for visiting with me
