I made this card for Challenge #2 at The Stamping Boutique 'Falling in Love with Digis' Digi Day Event over at Paper Craft Planet.
So the challenge was to make a Non Traditional Valentines, with No Pink or Red! I decided to avoid hearts, so chose the beautiful 'Love Birds' image to use on my card. I used some pale blue patterned paper from the DCWV Spring Stack for my background, and cut a large paper doily in half and adhered that to my card, to give a softer romantic look to the card. My sentiment came from a sheet of self adhesive foiled vellum sentiments, I just trimmed it down to size and added it to the patterned paper. I then added my Love Birds image, which is coloured in Letraset Promarkers.
I decided against adding any further embellishments to this card, mainly as I could not think of anything that would really enhance it. I think this would make the perfect valentine for the man in your life, romantic but not too feminine.
There is still time to play along with this and the other Digi Day Challenges over at The Stamping Boutiques Group, just create a card or project using an image from The Stamping Boutique and upload it to the challenge discussion before 12pm EST on Wednesday 9th February.
Have fun, and Thanks for visiting with me

Edit: I've just been told by a good friend that this card fits with a couple of current challenges out there. So I'm entering it into the current Fussy and Fancy Challenge, as well as StampInsanity's Non Traditional Valentines Challenge.

I love the doilies on the card. Very pretty with the light blue.
