Some Odd Girl are celebrating their first birthday this week with a series of challenges, including a Colour Challenge, featuring their signature colours;
A rather unusual colour combo for me, so i thought i'd give the challenge a shot.
For my card i chose the adorable 'Kiss A Prince Tia' isn't she sweet. I have to say I really do like Some Odd Girl images, very cute but quirky too, just the sort of thing I love, the fact they are digis is a bonus.
So looking through my stash I came across this patterned paper, it came in one of those mixes of recycled handmade papers. So instead of using grey on my card i used silver, not too much of a leap I hope.
I used a pale yellow card blank for my base, and embossed it with a 'twinkle' embossing folder. I then added some Sakura Stardust Glitter pen to some of the stars to make them twinkle.
For my layout i decided to use this weeks Splitcoaststampers Sketch. I layered my patterened papers onto to lime cardstock. I layered Tia on yellow cardstock first then lime.
Tia is coloured with my Promarkers and a little white gel pen. I added a pricked outline to my three pieces of cardstock before adhering to my card blank. To finish it all off I added some padded silver star embellishments.
Thanks for visiting with my, and don't forget to check out Some Odd Girl, as they've an amazing anniversary sale on, aswell as some great challenges to enter.
