I decided to have a little play today, and thought i'd have a go at the following Colour Challenge
I decided to use one of the new images from By LORi Designs, as soon as I saw Harper I knew I had to get her, isn't she cute, and don't you just love her little dolly.
I had a little rummage through my stash and came across a paper pad by My Mind's Eye called 'Quite Contrary' which goes very nicely with this colour combo. The paper is a little more aqua than blue, but I hope it's close enough for the challenge.I used the 'Out the Box' technique with my die, so that i could use a heart die with this image, without having to chop any limbs off, lol!! I die cut a larger heart with decorative border, and used a heart border punch on one of my backgroud papers to create a nice edge.
The two background papers i used on my card are quite similar, so you could not see the heart border very easily, i rectified this by adding a strip of washi tape just behind the punched border; I like how it creates pretty pink hearts.
I used a MFT Rolled Flower die to create my flower, i added a green pearl to it's centre, and punched some leaves out to layer underneath it.
The sentiment came from the same pad as the rest of the patterned papers, i cut it out, and layered onto a scrap of the pink paper.
Harper is coloured with Promarkers, with some Sakura Stardust Glitter Pen on her skirt and necklace, just to add that little twinkle.
Thanks for visiting with me
