Oh Alice CHAPTER 32: Journey to the Center of the Earth...

Down, down, down. Would the fall never come to an end!

"I wonder how many miles I've fallen by this time?' she said aloud. `I must be getting somewhere near the centre of the earth. Let me see: that would be four thousand miles down, I think--'"

(for, you see, Alice had learnt several things of this sort in her lessons in the schoolroom, and though this was not a very good opportunity for showing off her knowledge, as there was no one to listen to her, still it was good practice to say it over)

"yes, that's about the right distance--but then I wonder what Latitude or Longitude I've got to?' (Alice had no idea what Latitude was, or Longitude either, but thought they were nice grand words to say.)...

Now it's time to really fall down the rabbit HOLE this week with this challenge! Your task if you wish to accept it is to create a card with a WINDOW or HOLE in the card!

I have to admit I found this challenge a little tricky to start off with, window cards are not something i make very often.  I had a little rummage through my craft stash (as I tend to do when i'm stuck for ideas/inspiration) and I came across this double aperture card.  So that was my card blank sorted out, I then decided that I wanted it to look like Alice was falling down the rabbit hole, so I looked through my Alice images and decided that Ivy from Tickled Pink Stamps was perfect.  I wanted to be able to show Alice's back view from inside the card, so I printed Ivy out and then using my lightbox traced around her to create a back view.
The rest of the card came together easily after this point, i printed a tiled floor paper for the inside of my card. Used a couple of punches to create some grass and leaves, and added some pale blue roses to the front of the card.

So that's how i created my card, don't forget to pop along to the Oh Alice Blog to see what the rest of the design team has created for your inspiration.  Have a wonderful week, and I look forward to seeing your Window cards.

This is absolutely BRILLIANT! The back view of Alice is incredible - great job!!! The tiled floor is so perfectly Alice as well. You and I were on the same wavelength with our grass surrounding the hole, sure wish I'd had that great punch, LOL!
