This week we are Lacing It Up ~ With Stitching! Faux, true or otherwise cool stitching and some lovely lace is the name of the game this week! Here's my card for this weeks challenge...
For my card I used the beautiful Pierrette from the Les Coquettes Collection she is definately one of my favourite images to work with, so pretty and romantic, perfect for so many occasions. To create my background I took a piece of lace from my fabric scrap bag and layered it over a piece of lime green card, sticking it very securely on the back. I then took a piece of dark orange cardstock, and trimmed it to fit at the bottom of my lace panel, I also trimmed a piece to layer my image on. Then using a doily lace border punch, i created my lace border detail on the dark orange cardstock. My lace panel is then attatched to the dark orange piece with some green cord (using a couple of large stitches), before i adhered it to an orange card blank using some foam pads to give dimension. My image is coloured with promarkers and then layered onto the orange card stock before being layered onto my card. To finish it all off I added some faux stitching and some green heart gems.
Thank you for visiting with me today, and don't forget to check out the luscious creations the rest of the Groovy Gurlz have made for your inspiration.
