Oh Alice! CHAPTER 25: White Rabbit, White Gloves, White Wonderland...

"After a time she heard a little pattering of feet in the distance, and she hastily dried her eyes to see what was coming. It was the White Rabbit returning, splendidly dressed, with a pair of white kid gloves in one hand and a large fan in the other: he came trotting along in a great hurry, muttering to himself as he came, `Oh! the Duchess, the Duchess! Oh! won't she be savage if I've kept her waiting!'
Alice felt so desperate that she was ready to ask help of any one; so, when the Rabbit came near her, she began, in a low, timid voice, `If you please, sir--' The Rabbit started violently, dropped the white kid gloves and the fan, and skurried away into the darkness as hard as he could go..."

~Alices Adventures in Wonderland, Chapter 2

We are back in the WHITE heat of August with another fabulous challenge for you today! This week at Oh, Alice we are trying to BEAT that heat, and you know, they say you shouldn't wear dark colors this time of year to keep cool!

In the spirit of that, along with our WHITE Rabbit and his WHITE kid gloves, guess what our challenge is for you today?

That's RIGHT. WHITE WONDERLAND. And we're not talkin' about Christmas! Your mission today, should you choose to accept it is to create (WITH the exception of your main image panel) an ALL WHITE card or project!

Now this has to be one of the most challenging cards i've made, limiting myself to just white was very difficult.  I did cheat a little, I used cream roses, as i didn't have any white ones. I used the gorgeous 20's Evie from Tickled Pink Stamps.  The Lil Lolita images are available as digital stamps for a limited time, so if you want them you better get them quick, I know I made sure I got them all.

The rest of my card is pretty basic, I created my card base from some pearlescent white cardstock.  I then embossed two 4" x 8" pieces of the same card with my new 'Rays' embossing folder.  I stuck my embossed pieces of card together with some white ribbon, and added some paper roses to the holes in the ribbon.  Evie is printed onto photopaper, coloured with a 'Satin' Promarker, and then cut out.  I punched some frond branches from the cardstock, and added them to the card with a large rose, some asters and rose buds.

I'm really pleased with how this card turned out, using a limited colour scheme isn't always easy, but i think i managed to make it work.  I can't wait to see what wonderful white wonderland creations you come up with for this weeks challenge.

Thank you for visiting with me, Have a Great Weekend
Suzi

This is just lovely, I'll say it surely DOES work! I love the way you used the two rays embossed panels back to back, so clever! The flowers and leaves are gorgeous, and that band of trim is lovely, as is your coloring, so soft and pretty.
Love all the texture on this card. You did a great job with this challenge.
