It's been a very strange sort of a day today, and not one of my best. It started off badly when i received news that my cousin Paul had been killed in a car crash in the early hours of this morning; such a terrible shame. I didn't know him very well because he was a bit younger than me, and we moved to Scotland when he was still young; But i do know he'd grown up to be a lovely young man, and I know that his Parents and Sister will be heartbroken, and it's such a horrible feeling knowing that people you love are in pain and you can't do anything to help them.
I've not been able to concentrate on much today, but this evening, i decided to do some colouring in, and i discovered that this weeks Tiddly Inks Challenge was still open, and had a nice simple theme, red white and blue. I'd printed some Tiddly Inks images out the other week, and hadn't had a chance to play with them, so i decided to use the Home Sweet Home image, along with Katrina to create my card. I created a very simple garden area on a piece of card which i'd already printed a sky pattern onto. I then coloured my images with prismacolour pencils, before cutting them out and adding to my background. I mounted my background onto a red card blank, before adding five red roses to finish my card off.
Like i said, it's not been a great day, but i managed to occupy myself with a little card making, and alot of thinking. One thing today has taught me, is that it's so important to let the people we love, know how much we love them.
Thank you for visiting with me today, and please stay safe my friends
