Birthday Card for a Special Friend

I'd like to share with you the birthday card I made for My Very Best CraftyFriend Ju's 60th birthday. I wanted to create something special, after all it's not every day that your 60!  Ju loves the colour lilac and purple, so i knew that would be the colour scheme i'd use for her card. She also loves Scrapbooking and Cardmaking, so I decided to use the beautiful 'Mad Scrapper' image from Busy Beauties Boutique.
I found the lilac floral paper in my stash, and decided this would make a lovely backdrop for my image.  I also wanted to included the number sixty on the card, so i create a template for myself, using Word Art in Microsoft Word, and then printing it out on card, before cutting it out.  I then drew round my template on the back of some glittered paper, and cut the figures out.  I created a little border detail at the bottom of my card with the offcut of floral paper and a border punch, I then added some lilac gingham ribbon and white/lilac paper roses.  To finish it all off, I added some tiny gems to the background paper, just to give it a little sparkle.

I can happily report that Ju received the card, and loved it, so I'm a very happy bunny.

I'm entering this card into the current challenge at the Busy Beauties Creation Station, the theme of the challenge is 'Anything Goes' so my card definately fits that criteria, lol!

Thank you for visiting with me today, and make sure you come back tomorrow cos i have some very groovy creations to share with you
