Busy Beauties Blog Hop

Busy Beauties have some marvelously macabre new images to share with you today, and to celebrate they are joining forces with: The Burtonesque Dolls for a Burtonesque Blog Hop.

The new images are inspired by the Tim Burton classic, "THE CORPSE BRIDE", and BBB illustrator Thomas Goins has really outdone himself with these amazing images!

Here is the complete list of hop stops for today, and we have prizes so fab, it's freaky! Be sure to hop along and leave lots of comment love, because there are TWO Secret Beauties or Dolls along this Burtonesque inspired hop… and TWO winners will be selected from their blog comments to receive 5 (yep, FIVE) Busy Beauties images of his/her choice! So whether you are in the mood to be beauty-ful or get funky,
we've got you covered.

At the end of the hop, the new Busy Beauties Creation Station
challenge is waiting for you. It's a sketch challenge provided by
PaperAddict Catherine, who is a member of both the Busy Beauties and The Burtonesque Dolls DTs. We hope you'll play along! You have until 11:59 EDT on June 2nd to link your creation at the Creation Station. In the meantime, we hope you'll have fun hopping and find lots of other-worldly inspiration!  Enjoy the show!

For my card i used the drop dead gorgeous 'Emily the Bride', as soon as i saw her i had to use her. The Corpse Bride is one of my favourite films of all time, so i really was over the moon to get to play with this image. I printed Emily out, and coloured her with prismacolour pencils and odourless mineral spirit.

For my background i took a piece of dark blue cardstock, and embossed it with a cuttlebug folder, them sanded it to reveal the cards white core; i then coloured it with prismacolour pencils. I then layered this onto pearlescent white cardstock, and some offcuts of dark blue and pale blue cardstock.  I added some ribbons and flowers to soften the feel of the card, and as my finishing touches a few pearls.

Thank you so much for visiting with me, and i do hope you enjoy the rest of the hop, I look forward to seeing your Busy Beauties Creations.

OMG! Suzi, I love how she looks like she's glowing under the light cast by a full moon! FABULOUS coloring, girl! I think Emily is going to be one of my all time faves (I have her tucked away for the next Doll challenge!). You put a lot of work into that bg and it looks awesome! I'll have to keep that technique in mind.
