Our 2nd challenge is : Burton Chicks. Really simple; create a card, page layout, or project with a doll, heroine, or chick that you know would belong in a Tim Burton film! Make her crazy, fun, cute, wild, but most importantly make her suitable for a Burton film!
I decided to take my inspiration direct from one of Burton's Chicks, I chose Victoria from the Corpse Bride. I feel quite sorry for Victoria, trapped in quite a miserable life, having to marry someone she doesn't know, and then he vanishes the night before the wedding. I love how this point is illustrated in the film, the world of the living is dull, dark and miserable, whereas the afterlife is full of fun and frivolity.
This week we were lucky enough to work with Wild Flower Kids chicks... they totally belong in a Burton film! They are cute, different, and sooo ready to be Burtonized! You can find all these chicks, and many more wonderful digis at The Wild Flower Patch store! Jen has offered up 5 digis to one lucky winner this week!
For my card i chose the beautiful Iris from The Wild Flower Patch She looks so beautiful but so sad; perfect for my card. For the background of my card i took inspiration from Victoria's bedroom decor. Iris is coloured with promarkers, and a Conte Carbon Pencil (gives incredible blacks for her hair)
Now it's time for you to visit The Burtonesque Dolls to see what the rest of the dolls have created, every one of them has created something beautiful and unique. I can't wait to see your Burton Chicks
Thank you for visiting with me:)
