It's time for the very first Burtonesque Dolls Challenge, are you excited? Because I know I am:) I love Tim Burton's work, so to be part of the Burtonesque Dolls is such an honour.
Our first challenge is a nice simple one, all you have to do is use Stripes on your card, any size any colour, whatever you fancy. We are so lucky to be sponsored by StampInsanity this week, so we got to play with some gorgeous images.
For my card i chose to use Maddie, I just love her dress. I hand drew my background, taking inspiration from the doorway in the wedding scene in Beetlejuice, and my colours are inspired by Sweeney Todd. I simply drew my background in pencil, then coloured it in with my promarkers, before going over the edges with a fineliner. I needed to add some sort of embellishment, as it looked too flat, so after a little rummage in my stash I came across these lovely silk flowers; I added a couple of black brads as centres and then added them to my card. They sort of look like spotty eyes to me, lol!
Now Why don't you go and check out the rest of the Dolls creations, because i can guarantee they are brilliant and unique.
Remember to stop by the Burtonesque Dolls Blog to get full details of the challenge, and to find out what our lucky challenge winner will recieve.
Thanks for visiting with me. Have a Wonderful Week :)
