"On this the White Rabbit blew three blasts on the trumpet,
and then unrolled the parchment scroll,
and read as follows:
"The Queen of Hearts, she made some tarts,
All on a summer day:
The Knave of Hearts, he stole those tarts,
And took them quite away!"
Oh dear, it looks like someones stolen the Queens Tarts, or in this case her cake! This weeks Oh, Alice! is quite simple all you have to do is incorporate food into your card. Well as soon as i saw this gorgeous 'Eat Cake' image from Busy Beauties Boutique i knew it was perfect for this challenge.
I used this lovely strawberry patterned paper that i got free with a magazine last year, along with some scraps of blue, and a green card blank. I printed my image twice, using one for a background and the other to decoupage on top. I then inked the background print with distressing ink, and heat embossed with clear powder. My cake image is then coloured with promarkers, and cut and stuck to the background print. I layered this onto another scrap of blue card, and then stuck it to the card with some foam pads. To finish the whole thing off I added some paper pricking around the edges.
Thanks for visiting

Edit: I've also entered this card for this weeks Fussy and Fancy Challenge, which is to create a birthday card with some sort of 'sweet treat' on it. I think this yummy cake qualifies :)
