Well that would have to be today's card! It's Green because this weeks challenge at Raise the Bar is...
Interpret this as you desire - either a recycled item on your card, all green hues, a St. Patrick's Day image, the choice is yours!
So I decided to make a predominantly green card, don't think there is anything recycled on it, but the stripy background paper was a leftover from the last card i made; so that's pretty close to recycling tehe!
It's Creepy, because I used one of the wonderful Creepy Cake Digistamps from The Greeting Farm. Isn't she beautiful; although i don't find her very Creepy, i thinks she's kinda cute.
This was a fairly quick and simple card to make. I created a card blank from some green pearlescent card and covered the front of it with a piece of stripy green paper.
I then embossed another piece of green card with this beautiful vines and butterfly embossing folder; using Peeled Paint Distress Ink I coloured the embossed pattern. This embossed card was then trimmed and mounted onto another piece of green card before being stuck to my card base with foam pads.
Next I added the ribbon and tied a bow in it (oh i do wish i could tie a better bow, this definately wasn't one of my best!).
I printed my Creepy Cake Girl, trimmed and mounted her onto green card, then coloured her with an assortment of yellow and green promarkers. I then added her to the card using foam pads to give her some dimension.
To finish my card I added 3 large green flatback pearls, and a very pretty 3D butterfly sticker.
Thanks for visiting my blog, i really do appreciate you taking the time to read my waffle and leave comments. I look forward to seeing what you all make for this weeks challenge, have a fun week :)
