Time for another adventure with our friends at Oh, Alice!; This week we have this awesome sketch by the truly marvelous Pam Varnell to play with.
I've had this picture of the Mad Hatter and Alice in my head for a few weeks now, and it's taken me a little while to figure out how to make it into a card. My problem was solved when the wonderful Marie at The Greeting Farm released the 'Wonderland' set as a digital image; this meant i could make the Mad Hatter and Tea Cup as big as i wanted, and Alice nice and tiny.
I created my main image in Photoshop using the 'Wonderland' digital image, just a matter of playing around with layering the images. I then saved it and printed it out really for me to colour. I coloured the image with my Promarkers, and added some shading and detail with my Prismacolour pencils.
I die cut a frame using a Sizzix die, and then coloured it with Promarkers to coordinate with my main image. The card blank i found in my stash along with this very pretty and wonderful background paper. Using a border punch i created a border on each side of the paper before sticking it to my card base. I then stuck my main image down, adding my coloured frame with foam pads to add some dimension.
To finish my card off i decorated the frame with some large flatbacked pearls, and added a green organza bow.
This card turned out pretty much how i'd imagined it, so i'm really happy. As you can probably tell Wonderland is very bright in my imagination.
