So have you voted in The Greeting Farms Royal Battle yet? Why Not? All you need do is head over to the gallery and vote for you 3 favourite cards. Please give one of your precious votes to the Time Traveller's Card; yep that my team, and we really would like to carry on in the contest, so need lots of votes.
As this is a competition and there is no guarantee we will go through to next week, we decided to all make a card for the challenge, and then vote amongst ourselves as to which to use. We all voted for the gorgeous creation Sony made using My Guy Ian, not only a very cool card, but a male card too!
This is the card I made, not sure how retro it is? But i like it. I tried out a few new techniques on this, and i'm really pleased with how they turned out. Firstly for my background paper, i used an embossing folder to emboss the design, then i coloured the centre of the hearts with a red promarker. I then covered the whole paper with clear embossing ink, and clear embossing powder. I melted the powder and got left with this really lovely paper, with wonderful texture and shine. The second new thing i tried was stamping onto textured cardstock; I stamped with black distress ink and used clear embossing powder on this beautiful Miss Anya. I used a red promarker for her shoes, skirt and pendant, and coloured the rest of the image using my prismacolor pencils. I love how Miss Anya stands out from the paper, so i'll definately be using this technique again.
Thanks for visiting. Please remember to vote Here for the Time Travellers :)
Have a wonderful day
