What No Stamps Allowed!!!!

STAMPER NO STAMPING!

That's right friends! No stamping allowed - except for a sentiment. This includes rubber, clear, photopolymer, digital - NONE allowed for an image. You can use an embellishment as a focal point, a picture, even the actual sentiment itself.

Yes you read it right, this weeks challenge at Raise the Bar is to create a card without using a stamp!  Definately not the easiest of challenges, but boy did i have fun.

I bought this cute fish brass stencil a couple of months ago, and decided it would be perfect for this challenge.  I embossed it, pricked it, and sew it onto a piece of green card, i then went over it with a reddish rub on to enhance the embossing.  I then created my wavy background, by using the same varigated thread to sew some waves.

I then decided to have a go at the Folded Paper Frame technique, i played around with it a little to get it big enough for my image.  I then added some patterned paper and die cut corners  to finish it off.

This left me with a very nice focal point, but it was rather large and an unusual shape, so it didn't seem right to just stick it onto a standard card shape; so i decided on a Spring Card, which works perfectly.

All together it was a very different project for me, but i really did enjoy it.  I love sewing on my cards.  I'm also really pleased with how all the different elements came together, because i had no idea what i was going to end up with :)

Hope you find time to give the challenge a go, and have a wonderful week

The fish is awesome and I love how you have used so many techniques and how they have all come together so well. The folding intrigues me, you will have to tell me more lol
