Time for another challenge over at Raise the Bar. This week it's all about the numbers:
Three's Company!
That's right - use increments of 3 anywhere on your card: 3 embellishment, 3 brads, 3 designer papers, you name it. Good thing we can all count to 3 tehe!
I had real fun with this card, i've been thinking about it all week; I knew i wanted to use 3 stamps for my main image, but i couldn't decide on which ones. then inspiration struck and i came up with the idea of creating a trio of Gorjuss Girls.
I stamped the first little girl, masked her, and then stamped the other two using walnut stain distress ink. I then coloured the girls using more distress ink for their hair, and my promarkers for the rest of the image. I then trimmed my image and mounted on a scrap of patterned paper i had left over from last weeks card (waste not want not eh!) I then set about creating my background, i found a card blank in my stash that went perfectly with the colours i'd chosen, so using that as my base I decided to create a stamped background. I used 3 different dotty stamps first i stamped them in distress ink, then i embossed them with clear embossing powder.
I then sponged some distress ink over the background i'd created, and also over my stamped mounted image.
I decided then that the card didn't need much more doing to it, but i wanted to include a couple more '3's' so i rummaged through my brads and eyelets and came across these brown heart eyelets, so i attached 3 of them to the bottom of my main image, and added 3 orange brads to there centres. The final thing to do was mount the main image onto the card base; i used foam pads for dimension and put it on at an angle to create a little more interest.
I love how this card all came together, and had real fun with my distressing inks. I can't wait to see what you all make for this challenge, Have Fun!
