Isn't she beautiful, if you've not seen this gorgeous creature before her name is 'Savannah' and she is one of the wonderful Wild Sprouts Collection you can find over at The Greeting Farm.
This is the first card i've had chance to use her on, and i must admit i've taken my time with it, as i wanted to get it just right; there is just something about her which makes you want to surround her with pretty things.
I wanted to keep this card fairly simple, not sure if i managed that or not, lol. I created an easel card blank from white cardstock, which i stamped Savannah on. I then decided to colour the background in a nice buttercup colour, i then continued to colour Savannah in with my promarkers. I guess with it being Autumn the colour scheme just came to me, i've been seeing all the beautiful autumnal colours in the leaves on the trees outside, i think it must have got into my subconscious.
After colouring Savannah i decided she needed to be framed, my first thought was a ribbon frame, but that's something i've done alot recently, so i thought that for a change i would use some flowers, afterall no point having them if i never use them :) I altered the colour of them slightly by using my promarkers on them, so they coordinate better with Savannah. I then added a mixture of pearls, gems and brads to the centres of them, and arranged them around the image. I then remembered i had some gorgeous 3d butterfly stickers in my stash that would go well with the colours, so i added one of them.
To complete the card i decided it needed a sentiment of some sorts, i found this box of die cut proverbs in my stash recently and have decided to use them on some of my cards. As i was looking through them i came across the following proverb; 'A fair face may fade, but a beautiful soul lasts forever.' This proverb seemed to fit nicely with the finished card, so that's the one i settled on.
I've used alot more embellishments on this card than i usually do, but i think it's turned out well, i would love to hear what you think? Thanks for visiting my blog, i really do appreciate you taking the time to visit and read my ramblings, and i love reading your comments :)
Thanks
