I would like to introduce you to my oldest friend, this is Mr Bungie Rabbit, and i've known him my whole life, he was the very first toy my mum bought me, before i was born. He's been hiding in a cupboard in my bedroom for a while, but he came to mind tonight when i was making this card.
Tonight i decided to make a card just for fun, and to enjoy the opportunity of playing with some of my new rubber stamps. It was a hard choice but i decided to ink up the adorable 'Snuggle' from the Hope and Grace collection of stamps from The Greeting Farm . I had this scrap of patterned paper left over from the card i made yesterday, so i used that as my inspiration for the cards colour scheme. I stamped 'Snuggle' with brown memento ink, and coloured her with my promarkers; thats when Mr Bungie came to mind, and i coloured my rabbit orange, just like him. The other rabbit comes from the 'Lucky Bunnies' set of stamps, and i thought he'd look really cute on this card as an extra embellishment. The sentiment is from the 'McSplendid Farm' set of stamps (all from The Greeting Farm). I used a fiskars border punch to create the decorate edge on the right hand side of the card, and then just played around with the placement of my images, until i was happy with it. To finish it all off i added a row of pale yellow flatback pearls to the orange vellum border on the left hand side of my card.
This is one of my favourite cards, i just love the image and how it reminds me of my childhood. Very happy times, which seem so far away now. I hope this card makes you smile as much as it has me :)
