It was my very special friend Ju's Wedding Anniversary at the weekend, so of course i had to create a card for her and her husband Tim.
Choosing an image was easy, as i love the 50's Sweetheart's Digistamp from The Greeting Farm, it's the perfect image for those special anniversary and valentine cards.
My colour scheme was an easy choice too, Ju's favourite colours are lilac and purples, so that's the theme i went with. I coloured the image in to resemble Ju and Tim, and popped it on some foam pads to give some dimension. Then using a circle stitching template i recently got, i pricked a circle arount the image, i then enlarged the holes a little with a bigger needle, before sewing the ribbon frame. First i used a dark blue organza ribbon, then i wove a purple satin ribbon through the stitching; i thread all the loose ends through the one hole, and tie them together to create a bow. I then cut the circle out ready to mount on my card.
I created the card base from some pearlescent lilac card i have in my stash, and added a couple of panels of white pearlescent card, which i had embossed with my new snowflakes embossing folder. I then mounted the circle in the centre of the card, and as a finishing touch i added some pearls to the card base, and a purple gem to Anya's bow.
I'm very happy to say that both Ju and Tim like the card, so i'm a happy bunny :)
