Farewell Sweet Pea Stamps Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sweet Pea Stamps Blog Hop!

This hop is from a loyal group of Sweet Pea stamp fans who want to let Lynette know that we appreciate all her hard work bringing us the wonderful stamps in both rubber and digi format over the years.  Thanks so very much for all the wonderful images we have collected from you!

 The store closes at the end of the day on the 25th, so if you see some wonderful stamps on this blog hop, today is the last day to get them, so please drop by the store!

So onto my creation for today's hop.  I had a lot of trouble deciding on which of the gorgeous image available at Sweet Pea Stamps to use.  I made my first Sweet Pea Stamps card back in 2010 and have been lucky enough to be on the Design Team for most of the last couple of years; so I've a lot of images to choose from.

I decided to go back to the start and use the first image I ever used, but this time I combined it with a few of it's companion images.  Alice Drink Me by Elaine Cox was the first image I used, and she's the focal point on today's card;

I've also used Elaine Cox's Alice Mad Tea Party and Alice and Cheshire Cat

Alice Drink Me by Elaine Cox

I've also used, Alice with Humpty Dumpty and Alice with Fawn by Elaine Cox

I hope you like my card for today, I had great fun creating it, just like I've had great fun creating every other card i've made using a Sweet Pea Stamp.  Today is a Sad Day as we say goodbye to one of the best Stamp stores around.  I'm going to miss sharing my Sweet Pea Creations with you all, and miss the excitement of checking the store to see what gorgeous new images and artists Lynette has added to the catalogue.

I'm really going to miss working with Lynette and the rest of her awesome Design Team, they are all truly wonderful ladies, and it's been my pleasure to work alongside them, and be able to call them my friends. They all have a very special place in my heart.

The last thing I want to say is a massive Thank You to Lynette for opening the Sweet Pea Stamp store in the first place, she collected some amazingly talented artists in one place, and provided us with a wonderful one stop shop for some truly beautiful images.

That's all from me for now, You'll find below the Blog Hop List so you've no need to miss any of the gorgeous creations that we've created for today's celebration of Sweet Pea Stamps.

Sassy Studio Designs Flashback Friday

Today i'd like to share with you my creation featuring this week Flashback Friday image from Sassy Studio Designs.

This weeks image is Katniss Sassy on Fire, here's my card;

Want to get your hands on this gorgeous image for free, then make sure you're a member of the Sassy Studio Designs Facebook Group - she is a freebie there for 24hr. (You've approximately 18 hours left to grab her!)

I have to admit i've not read the Hunger Games books, or seen the films, so I've no idea what Katniss is meant to look like, but to me she looked like a strong woman strutting her stuff.  So I combined her with some papers from Best Creations Inc's Magic Show Paper Pad.

Katniss is coloured with Letraset Tria and ProMarkers along with some Graph'it Shake Gold Glitter Pen.  My sentiment is alphabet letters from Simple Stories, I went over the lettering with a black fine liner pen to make then stand out.

I'm very happy to say that my time as Guest Design Team member has been extended at Sassy Studio Designs, so i've the pleasure of sharing more Sassy creations with you here and on the Sassy Studio Designs Blog.

That's all from me for today, don't forget to hop over to the Sassy Studio Designs Facebook Group to grab your free image, and leave some love the the other DT members and their gorgeous creations featuring Katniss.

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge meets Sweet Pea Stamps

It's Wednesday so time for a fun new challenge over at Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog.

This week we are very lucky to be sponsored by Sweet Pea Stamps

Unfortunately Sweet Pea Stamps is closing on the 25th November, so please make sure you stock up on your favourite images before then.

Our theme this week is Torn Paper or Edges

Here's my ATC;

For my ATC I used the gorgeous 'Bruised not Broken' image by Charmaine Flannery. My image is coloured with Letraset Tria and Promarkers.

For my background I took an ATC sized piece of card and some origami papers.  I ripped the origami papers into strips and then put them through my Xyron Sticker maker to add some adhesive to the back.

I layered some strips of paper onto the ATC then added some colour with Grey and Red Promarkers to add some depth and take away the whiteness of the paper edges.  I then added another layer of papers strips before adding my fussy cut image.

My sentiment is a sticker from Simple Stories, which i cut into three so it would fit nicely on my ATC.

Charmaine Flannery is one of my favourite artists from Sweet Pea Stamps, so i'd like to remind you of some previous projects I've created using her beautiful images, whilst you can still get hold of them for yourselves at Sweet Pea Stamps.

 using Snowflake Owl

 using 'Gypsy Soul'

using 'Neferata'

using 'My Beloved'  This is one of my all time favourite cards and images.

I hope i've inspired you to visit Sweet Pea Stamps and check out the gorgeous images by Charmaine Flannery and all the other wonderful artists represented there.

Don't forget to visit the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog too, you won't want to miss the gorgeous creations from our amazing design team.

Getting Autumnal with Sassy Studio Designs

Today's card is my take on this month progressive facebook challenge in the Sassy Studio Designs Facebook Group.  This months image is the beautiful 'Sassy Feather's Portrait'

I decided she'd look perfect in Autumnal shades, so I coloured her with my Letraset Tria and Promarkers and paired her up with some patterned papers from Bo Bunny's Apple Cider paper pad.

To embellish my card I went for the obvious choice of feathers, they are just perfect for this image, and add a lovely softness to the card.

My sentiment is from Simple Stories Alphabet Stickers sheet.  'Always' may seem a strange sentiment for a card, but to me it say's that I'll Always remember you, love you, think of you etc.  So it seemed appropriate for this card.

That's all from me for today, Thank you for visiting with me

We want to see Purple as the main colour on your ATC, other than that the worlds your oyster;

Dare to be Sassy Thursday at Sassy Studio Designs.

Today i'd like to share with you a card i've made for this week's Dare to be Sassy Thursday Challenge over at the Sassy Studio Designs Blog.  I'm sad to say my time as Guest Designer came to an end at Halloween, so now i'm back to playing along with the challenges at Sassy Studio Designs just for fun.

Here's my card;

I coloured Cleopatra with Letraset Promarkers and Uni Posca White Pen for hightlights. I used some Gold Pearlidoodles/Liquid Pearls for my image background; I squirted some lines straight onto the paper and then used my finger to spread it, giving a fairly random coverage.  My image was then layered onto Gold Card Stock.

For my card I used an Egyptian patterned card and sticker border strips (Received from a friend so not sure of the manufacturer).  I didn't add anymore embellishments as the gold background added a nice amount of sparkle and shine to the card without the need of further bling.

Here's a close up of Cleopatra;

So beautiful.

That's all from me for today, Hope your having a wonderful day

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge #183 - Lots of Stripes

It's Wednesday, So time for a brand new challenge over at Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog.

This week we are being sponsored by the wonderful A & T Digital Designs;

Our theme this week is 'Lots of Stripes'

Here's my ATC;
I used one of the Gorgeous Emerald Faeries for my ATC, this image is called 'The Larakins'.  You'll find the original image looks a little different to my ATC;
I printed my image out a little too large for my ATC, so had to improvise.  I still wanted to use both of these cute characters, so I fussy cut them out and then cut them apart.  I tried them a few different ways on my ATC in portrait view, like the original image, but i could get them both to fit, then inspiration stuck and I turned my ATC round to landscape view, and voilĂ  they fitted perfect side by side.

The rest of my ATC is very simple, a couple of patterned papers from Kaisercraft's 'Fine and Sunny' Paper Pad, along with a Simple Stories Word Sticker.

I love how my ATC turned out, those two wee faeries look like they are having so much fun.  I had great fun working with them.  Hope you can find time to have some fun and join in our challenge this week.  Make sure you hop over to the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog to check out the awesome creations from the rest of our amazing Design Team.

That's all from me for today, Thank You for visiting with me
