Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop

It's the last Wednesday of the month, so time for the Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop.  This month out theme is 'Gilded' AKA Metallics.  Here's my creation

For my card I used two images from the 'King of the Road' Digital Stamp Set, the car and the banner. I coloured both with a mix of Letraset Promarkers and Metallic Marker. I also used the Letraset Metallic Marker to stamp some of the splatters in the background.

I used some card stock from Basic Grey, along with patterned paper from 7 Gypsies. I used black and silver card stock for the bottom of my card, which I wanted to give the rough impression of a road.  I stamped a few ink splatters and splodges to break up the background a little, before adding my final embellishments; Bottle Caps with Black Gem Brads in the Centre.  I used my Big Bite to punch the holes in the Bottle Caps for the brads, can't believe how easy it was, definitely one of my favourite crafting tools.

That's all from me for today, Happy Hopping, you'll find the Full Blog Hop List below just in case you've missed any stops.

Thanks for visiting with me today

Easel-y does it with Bombshell Stamps

As this months Guest Designer at Bombshell Stamps, It was my honour to choose this months challenge theme; so I went with my all time favourite card fold, Easel Cards.
Your challenge is to create any sort of Easel Card and link it up to the Bombshell Stamps Blog to be in with a chance of winning an awesome prize.

Here's my Easel Card;
and here it is opened up;
I used the beautiful 'Indian Princess' set of digital stamps from Bombshell Stamps on this project.  I coloured the images with a mix of Letraset Tria and ProMarkers before fussy cutting each image.

I took 2 8x8 inch card blanks to create my Easel card, I added a score line at 4 inches on the front and then folded this in to create my card base.  The other card I cut into 2 8x8 squares, leaving one aside for another project.

I then layered some gorgeous deep red mirri card onto my card base and front piece, before layering on some Distressed Co-ordinations card.  Using a strip of the mirri card I added a strip of foam tape, and then cut triangles to mimic the triangles in the Princess's headdress. I then added my images and text to the card.

Here is a close up of the image and text;
I searched the web for an Indian Proverb to add to my card, however when I came across the 'Native American Ten Commandments' I thought they would be even more appropriate for this card. You can find the Native American Ten Commandments along with lots of information on Native Americans at Legends of America.com

That's all from me for now, thank you for visiting with me, and don't forget to visit the Bombshell Stamps Blog to enter the challenge, and to see the gorgeous creations from the rest of the Design Team.

I'm Ms August at Bombshell Stamps

Can you believe it's the 1st of August already?  This year certainly is passing quickly, and we've finally reached my favourite month.  I love August, It's my Birthday and Wedding Anniversary this month, so I've cause to celebrate all month.  This year I've the added celebration of being Bombshell Stamps Pin-Up of the Month, Yes I'm Ms August.

If you pop over to the Bombshell Stamps Blog today, you'll find a wee interview I did along with a few pics of my Bombshell Stamps Creations.  I thought i'd share the pics here too, with a little additional information;
 For this card I used the Wild Horses Digital Stamp Set .  I coloured this beautiful horse in two of my favourite colours Pink and Purple, and combined it with a Pink Card base, some Purple Washi Tape, Green textured card and a couple of sentiment stickers.
You'll see I used the same Wild Horses image for this card, I had a little fun with this one, using the Wild Horse image as my base for a wee bit of zentangle (or doodling).  After I'd zentangled the horse, I coloured it with Letraset Promarkers before fussy cutting it out.  My background was a plain piece of white card folded to create a A5 card to which I added a handdrawn border, wacky floor and sentiment.
My final card for today features an image you can get as a freebie over at the Bombshell Stamps Forum if your a newsletter subscriber. You can sign up for the newsletter Here, you'll also find full details of how to get your freebies once you've subscribed.

I coloured this beautiful basket & bouquet image with my Letraset Promarkers, before fussy cutting it out and adding a little orange stickles to the flowers centres. My background paper came free with a recent magazine, and I simply matted and layered them onto some white card stock, and added to my card base with foam pads to add dimension.

That's all from me for today, don't forget to pop back next week when i'll have a wee challenge for you. Until then Happy Crafting
